Giving back to the community is integral to our mission as a Lutheran school. Through our service-learning projects, we instil in our students the importance of social responsibility.
Service learning is as important for those helping as those receiving the help. We encourage your child to learn the value of service, while also building leadership skills, teamwork and assisting with spiritual development.
Overseas opportunities in previous years have included our students travelling to Fiji to work with Habitat for Humanity, taking part in football outreach in Vanuatu and assisting students in a remote community through the Kalahari Experience in South Africa.
Locally, we have partnered with a drop-in centre in the Adelaide CBD to serve food to patrons twice each year. Annually, our Year 8 and 12 students undertake service activities within the Unley area and students have opportunities to become involved in the 40 Hour Famine, Red Shield Appeal and Australian Lutheran World Service ‘Walk My Way’ fundraisers.
