Last Tuesday evening, 26 of Concordia’s singing students attended Her Majesty’s Theatre to enjoy the State Opera’s dress rehearsal of Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville”. In addition to the outstanding production, there was particular excitement amongst our group that two of Concordia’s singing teachers, Teresa LaRocca and Andy Turner (pictured with the students during intermission) played significant roles in the show.
As always, our students were beautifully behaved and showed great respect for a genre that they may not have had much exposure to.
My thanks to Miss Pfitzner and Dr Smith for accompanying the students to the theatre, and thanks also to the State Opera for allowing us to watch their final rehearsal.
