Weeks 9 and 10 saw our Drama staff and students very busy with much creative activity going on!
- Scott from Circus Elements visited Year 7 Drama classes.
- Year 11 Drama students visited Her Majesty’s Theatre for the State Theatre Company production of Girl From The North Country.
- Year 12 Drama students are busy rehearsing for their upcoming edge-of-your-seat thriller, ‘And Now We Wait’.
A big shout out must go to our amazing Drama staff, Ms Emma Williams and Mr Jethro Pidd, for facilitating these experiences!
Year 7 Drama
Scott from Circus Elements ran workshops with the current Year 7 Drama students. Students had the opportunity to learn and practice skills such as juggling, spinning plates and flower sticks – all of which they will be able to incorporate into their current clowning assessment task.
Some quotes from our students below!
“Funnest (sic) lesson ever!” – Felipe
“Scott helped me learn so many new tricks.” – Ollie
“Before the workshop, I couldn’t juggle at all. Now I can!” – Edward
“Scott was such a talented circus performer and I learnt so much from him.” – Millie

Year 11 Drama
Year 11 Drama students saw Girl From the North Country at the beautiful Her Majesty’s Theatre on 30 March. Students were both moved and inspired by this stunning production. On Thursday we were fortunate enough to have one of the actors, Terence Crawford, come and speak to the students about the performance and lead some acting exercises.
