On Saturday 26 March, three teams competed in Round 1 of Australian International Pedal Prix series in Mount Gambier at McNamara Park. The weather was perfect as we competed against 60 other school and community teams from around Australia. The challenging 2.4km circuit was handled by our riders with consistent lap times and limited damage, resulting in some great on track success. Our girls' team performed very well with a small team to keep their trike, Shockwave, circulating for the entire eight hours achieving a podium third position. Senior School team, Concorde, battled for seventh position, successfully holding off some close rivals in the positions behind, while our Senior School team, Veloci, was sitting in second for a good period of the race but was unable to hold its lead, finishing fourth.

Thank you to the parents and staff who assisted in a range of roles to make the weekend so successful. We look forward to Round 2 of racing in May at The Bend in Tailem Bend.
