Since the beginning of last term, a group of Year 3s has independently been taking action to raise money for the Cancer Council SA by designing and making bracelets to sell. Abbie, Maya, Quincy, Charlotte, Elsa, Molly and Georgia originally started with only the Year 3 year level clientele in mind when they first launched their advertising campaign. Now, however, as their enterprise has grown, they find themselves taking orders and manufacturing bespoke bracelets to meet demand from students in other year levels, Concordia staff and even residents at Fullarton Lutheran Homes! Their creativity, with the generosity of their families, has now raised over $100 and sparked the latest fashion trend at St John's Campus! This entrepreneurial group has independently used impressive design, literacy and numeracy skills in their collaboration to source materials, keep the financial records accurate, produce made-to-measure bracelets, negotiate, problem solve, develop a repair and alterations sideline business (!) and make many people happy with their delightful enterprise.
