On Friday 5 August, Concordia celebrated its annual Valentine’s Day fundraiser for the Heart Foundation. Students and teachers got the opportunity to buy roses or chocolates to show love and appreciation to our friends within the school community. Donned in flamboyant pinks and reds, the Year 12s were in charge of spreading the love with the delivery of these special items to classes and of course, singing their hearts out in the iconic singing telegrams. The Year 12s also surprised Mr McCusker with a mass singing telegram in the Quad, and the Student Leaders ran a bake sale, which sold out! Although our Valentine’s Day event is usually in February and had to be postponed due to COVID-19, students still captured the essence of the day and raised over $2784.79 to make the day an enormous success! Thank you to all who got involved.
