Our Year 3 students have been learning Kaurna names of Australian animals, using chatterboxes to practise their pronunciation. In connection with their 'Sharing the Planet' unit of inquiry, students visited Cleland Wildlife Park and were able to use their knowledge of Kaurna language to name the animals they saw. Thank you, Mrs Reu and Mrs Dienes, for embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in the curriculum. Language learning made relevant and engaging!
