Primary School Staffing Update

As we move towards the end of Term 3, we have been involved in a range of staffing processes as we prepare for the transition into triple streaming in 2023.

I provide the following information by way of a current update of new staff joining us next year:

  • Yoon-ah Lee will be joining our team as the new Primary School Leader (replacing Mrs Sue Drogemuller). Yoon-ah is currently working in an International School in Hong Kong as a Deputy Principal. Prior to working in Hong Kong, she worked in a number of Lutheran schools here in SA both in teaching and leadership roles. Yoon-ah comes with a wide range of experience and we are confident that she will be an asset to our ELC and Primary School Leadership Team as well as our wider staff team.

Additional classroom teachers joining our team next year include:

  • Gretchen Welch – currently teaching at St Margaret Mary’s School, Croydon Park
  • Mark Routley – currently teaching at St Peter’s Girls, Stonyfell
  • Megan Fyffe – currently teaching at St Paul Lutheran School, Blair Athol
  • Courtney Morgan – currently teaching at Encounter Lutheran College, Victor Harbor.

We look forward to these new teachers joining our team in 2023 and contributing to our learning community.

Over the coming weeks there will be a number of additional appointments that will also be announced. Later in Term 3 we will inform parents as to the teaching teams for each year level for 2023.

Farewell and Thank you

In this update, I also need to inform parents that the following staff, for personal reasons, will not be continuing with us in the future here at Concordia College.

  • Ms Tina Briggs – who has been teaching in Inclusive Learning has resigned effective from the end of this term. We have put arrangements in place to ensure continued Learning Support for students that Tina had been working with until the end of the year.
  • Mr Mike Kriewaldt - who has been on Carer's Leave over the past year will not be returning in 2023.

We take this opportunity to thank both Tina and Mike for their service to our Concordia community over many years.
