The Valedictory Service was a wonderful way to formally farewell our graduates of 2022.
Concordia’s Dux of 2021, Emma Jenke, was presented with her medal and spoke to the Year 12s about keeping life balance in their remaining weeks of school, trusting in the work they have done and the decisions they have made.
We were honoured to have Dr Lois Zweck OAM as a guest presenter of awards. An Old Concordian, Lois communicated her infectious and sustained love of learning.
The Valedictory speech was given by Tony Shillitoe, who retires after 45 years of teaching, including 23 years at Concordia College. Students took great encouragement from Tony’s speech in feeling that they can all make a difference in the world, with contributions big and small.
The congregation was treated to wonderful music throughout the Service and with a sense of celebration wished the Class of ’22 well for their final tasks and future beyond school.
As is our custom, a number of Valedictory Awards were presented on the night. The list of recipients is as follows and we congratulate each of these students on receiving these awards this year.
