The end of a school year is a time when we reflect on the year that has been. Graduating students celebrate their time at school and look forward to life changing significantly as they embark on new challenges and experiences. Classes discuss the highlights and memorable moments of the year at school and represent these in yearbooks and end-of-year services. School staff revisit the year and make changes and improvements to teaching programmes, learning engagements and events.
At St Peters Lutheran we look back on 2022 as a year of anticipation, planning and great excitement as we look towards joining Concordia College as a third campus in 2023. We have experienced such a warm welcome from all members of the Concordia College community as we have come together to ensure alignment across the College from ELC- Year 12 and increased learning outcomes for all students. The opportunities for collaboration and connection are limitless!
As we look to 2023 and the years beyond, our students, staff and families are anticipating wonderful opportunities for our campus and our community as we embrace the idea of being ‘better together’. We see a strong future as we continue to journey together, keeping the values of St Peters Lutheran – inclusive, loving, service and Christ-Centred – near to our hearts and evident in our actions, whilst embracing a new motto “Firm in Principle, Gentle in Manner”.
Before all these wonderful plans are put into action officially in 2023, I plan to take some time over the Christmas break to read a book, take my two beautiful Cavoodles (Leonard and Linus) to Victor Harbor to stay in our family beach house and of course enjoy all the festivities that occur at this time of the year!
Many blessings to you over the Christmas period as you rest, relax and prepare for the year ahead – a year of excitement, opportunities and connection.
