Congratulations to Jude (9NSHR), who after many years of practice, achieved the Licentiate in Music (LMusA) a Diploma awarded by the AMEB. At this exam Jude performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto (3rd movement), Bloch Nigun, Franck Violin Sonata (1st and 2nd movements) and the Adagio and Fugue (1st and 2nd movements) from Bach Sonata no. 1 in G minor. In addition to this, Jude passed the AMEB 6th Grade Theory exam. Well done, Jude, on these outstanding achievements.
Congratulations to Raghav (10RSOM) for achieving an A+ for his 4th
Grade AMEB Trumpet exam. Already an advanced classical guitarist, it’s wonderful to see Raghav progressing so well on Trumpet too.
Congratulations to Macy (10JDIV), who received an award from the National Young Composers Awards for her arrangement of “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Crowded House. This is a significant honour and well deserved as her work is quite outstanding. We were fortunate to perform this work at each concert during our ‘Red Centre’ tour earlier this year and the response from every audience was overwhelmingly positive. In recognition of her excellent musicianship, Macy has been asked to present her piece at a special concert to be held at Elder Hall on Monday, 21 November. Congratulations, Macy!
