Bhutan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burundi
Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini and Ethiopia…
This is just a handful of world countries our diligent Middle School geographical scholars were able to locate on a world map. We had over thirty Year 7 and 8 students take part in the annual 'Countries of the World' Global Challenge.
There was much nervous anticipation as students gathered with their laptops ready for the showdown. Using an online quiz, students were given fifteen minutes to correctly locate and label 197 countries of the world. The overall results were exceptional.
We crowned two winners. Congratulations:
- Oliver (7DLAN) – Oliver was able to label all the countries with 100% accuracy in 7 minutes and 39 seconds
- Isabel (7JHEA) – Isabel also completed the challenge in an incredible 7 minutes and 53 seconds
Congratulations to all the students who took part. This competition was an example to students of what can be achieved with the power of practice!
