Congratulations to Mariette 8SPAC who recently sat the Grade 4 AMEB Piano For Leisure Comprehensive exam. Well done on achieving an “A” (Honours) grading for this assessment.

Congratulations to both Macy (10JDIV) and Jude (9NSHR) for winning their respective sections in the Australian Society of Music Education’s Young Composers Awards. These prestigious honours were awarded at Elder Hall (University of Adelaide) on Monday night where both their works were also performed at a concert. Appreciation is extended to the members of Mattson Jazz Choir for representing the College so well, and to Caleb (12HROS) Dr Smith and Mrs Whelan for accompanying Mattson Jazz during their presentation of Macy’s work.

Well done to Nate 4R, who attended and provided an introduction to the Remembrance day service. He did very well.

Congratulations to Mia 5G, who competed in the Australian School Sport Track and Field Championships in Brisbane and made it to the 11 years final for both the 200m and 100m. Her results were as follows, including two personal bests (PBs) - an incredible effort:

• 5th in the 200m with a PB of 27.68
• 5th in the 100m with a PB of 13.29
