Week 4 of Term 4 was an exciting week for Year 10s. After last-minute changes to accommodate the rising water in the Murray River region, the Year 10s headed to Hindmarsh Island for their annual outdoor experience camp. Students participated in a range of activities that included an overnight kayaking expedition, surfing, fishing, problem-solving games and a coastal walk. The weather was perfect (despite an overnight storm on the final night) and students enthusiastically participated in all activities. Surfing was a highlight for most students and having the time to socialise with peers was incredibly valuable. Evenings were spent eating great food and engaging in night activities, including an evening walk to watch the lunar eclipse, mini Olympics and a camp quiz. With challenging activities, learning new skills and testing individual resilience, the Year 10 camp was highly successful.
