On Wednesday 16 November, the Year 3 students ventured over to the Senior School science labs and participated in some heating and cooling experiments. Students used beakers, heat lamps and thermometers to measure the effect heating and cooling has on water and how insulation, surface texture and colour can impact on this process. The students had a wonderful time hypothesising and experimenting with the different effects. When they were done, they had a tour of the Science building and heard about the many wonderful projects they can engage in when they reach high school. They finished off the day with a special trip to the roof of the building where they could look over the St John’s Campus and local neighbourhood.
