Last week from Monday 14 November to Thursday 17 November, the Year 7 cohort attended a camp in Victor Harbor at Adare house. We participated in many fun and challenging activities, including water activities, a bike ride, sleeping in a tent, the Flying Kiwi high rope swing, challenge and obstacle courses, kayaking, bodyboarding and so much more. We all had heaps of fun and made so many new friends and memories.
Throughout the camp we were split off into 12 different tribes. In these tribes, we could earn points for our team by showing teamwork, communication and participation. This made us work together and always try our best even if we hadn’t done that activity before.
Over the three nights, different tribes had a set night in a tent and we were all in there with a partner or even a group of three. This helped us to improve our camping skills and learn what it's like to sleep in tents. Overall, everyone on the camp had a blast and we will remember this camp and all the memories we made.
