Hi everyone!
It is hard to believe that there are only a few days left in the 2022 school year! This year has been full of so many fantastic memories and has been an extremely busy year for us at OSHC, as well as the entire College. It has been fantastic to watch the school redevelopment come together this term, and we are so excited for what is still to come next year.
On Friday of Week 4, we had our second ever OSHC camp! We took 10 children and stayed at Semaphore Discovery Park for one night. We enjoyed a big barbeque for dinner, some beach cricket, a relaxing night walk and a play on the Semaphore playground. We were hoping to go fishing on the Saturday morning, but the weather had other plans. This saw us staying undercover and having a pool day at the park. We hope the children enjoyed it as much as we did.
Our Educational Director, Liam, along with a number of the OSHC staff, have been working very hard to organise our biggest Vacation Care of the year for the December/January school holidays. Our program and bookings are now open, and we are seeing a few days with full bookings which is fantastic! Vacation Care is one of our favourite times of the year here at OSHC, and we are looking forward to taking the kids on some amazing excursions over the Summer.
Hopefully we see some nice, warm weather come through in the holidays as we have a few really fun beach and water days planned. We are currently in the process of moving to a temporary space for the duration of the summer holidays! We are very excited about this as it means we are one step closer to getting our brand-new space in 2023!

Educator Sam went and picked up an OSHC pet recently from Urrbrae Nature Education. We have had our long necked turtle “Shelly” for a few weeks now and the kids absolutely love her. Unfortunately, we don’t get to keep Shelly, but her time with us will be cherished by both Educators and children forever. Hopefully we can see Shelly again in the future.
I would like to say a big “Thank You” to our Director, Jenny for all the amazing work she has done here at the OSHC in 2022. She has done amazing things in such a short amount of time while working as our Director, and we are all very grateful to have her as our leader. I would also like to extend our thanks to Mr Paech and the College for all their ongoing support throughout the year. We would also like to thank all the families of our OSHC. We are very lucky to have such amazing children and parents/caregivers utilise our OSHC service. 2022 has been a great year and we are eager to begin 2023.
Again, if you have any questions about OSHC or Vacation Care please feel free to contact us.
With thanks
