On Monday 20 February, Concordia’s Big Band 1 and Big Band 2, along with our Mattson, McKenzie and Prelude Jazz Choirs spent a full day at Nunyara Conference Centre (Belair) preparing repertoire for this year’s Generations in Jazz Festival.

Led by our wonderful Music staff and joined by other expert jazz musicians, 78 students from Years 7 to 12 came together for an exceptional day of learning, culminating in a “Show and Tell” performance at the end of the day.

Congratulations to all involved. Throughout this rigorous and at times intense learning time, your resilience, risk-taking, teamwork, and collaboration were on display. We look forward to seeing the students perform soon.
