We are pleased to announce the recent publication of the Concordia College Reconciliation Action Plan by Reconciliation Australia. This document has been updated from our previous RAP and demonstrates Concordia College’s ongoing commitment to Reconciliation.
Our Vision for Reconciliation
Concordia College, a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia, is committed to reconciliation through recognising, respecting and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and perspectives. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and acknowledge the ongoing impact of past colonial injustices, alongside the continued strengths and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Informed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will promote reconciliation within our school community and beyond.
We will engage in authentic partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, to develop reciprocal relationships based on respect and deep understanding. Through these authentic partnerships, we will achieve a more culturally inclusive environment that recognises and celebrates diversity. We will actively seek to serve our community, by creating more opportunities to enhance and foster bonds between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other members of our community.
