On Thursday of Week 5, a team of 25 students from Years 7-12 competed in the SSSA Swimming competition at the Aquatic Centre at Marion. Students raced against nine other schools over distances of 100m, 50m and 4x50m relays.
The day was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, ranging from experienced club swimmers to those who were attending their first competitive meet. The day was filled with fast racing, 'personal best' times, and great personal and team results. The school managed to place in the top three many times throughout the day as well as winning numerous races. At the end of the day, the girls won the overall points score shield with a margin of more than 120 points, whilst the boys placed 5th. Collectively, Concordia won the combined points shield over the other competing schools by a healthy margin.
Thanks to Mrs Greig and Hao for helping the day run smoothly and for the support given to all swimmers.
