On the last day of Term 1, the College farewelled the 21 German students who had spent much of the first term with us. They then enjoyed two weeks of holidays with their friends and host families, with many having the opportunity to explore different parts of South Australia and other Australian cities. On Sunday 30 April, a large crowd of Concordia students, parents and staff gathered at Adelaide Airport to farewell the students as they began their journey back to Germany. The students have arrived safely home now, and our Year 11s are looking forward to visiting them at the end of this year. Highlights of the students’ time at Concordia included visiting the Junior School and Middle School German classes, learning how to bake Hot Cross buns, and trying many practical subjects that are not offered at their schools in Germany, including Food and Hospitality, Media and Photography. Thank you very much to everyone who helped to make the students’ stay in Australia so enjoyable.
