Animals Anonymous recently visited Year 1 and Year 2 students at the St Peters Campus, supporting our ‘Sharing the Planet' unit about living things and their needs to survive.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of Australian animals, allowing them to observe and learn about their unique characteristics. Through hands-on experience, the students were introduced to concepts such as animal needs, behaviours, adaptations and habitats.
This experience helped us understand that living things are interconnected, and we have a shared responsibility to respect and care for living creatures. Our understanding of living things will be enhanced by the knowledge of the animals we saw and this knowledge will be invaluable as we continue our investigations through the term.
