Our annual St John's Campus and Concordia Campus Mother’s Day celebrations got off to a wonderful start with around 140 students, mothers, grandmothers and special friends gathering at Castello's Cucina, Living Choice for a delicious coffee and breakfast.
Our guest speaker, current parent and vocal teacher Angela Portolesi, shared her insights and journey as she juggled motherhood and her successful career around music. She also shared her endeavours to encourage others to see the best in themselves and recognise that sometimes life’s ‘set backs’ are in fact ‘set ups’ revealing purpose, as well as being a voice of support for those who regularly go unheard.
Guests also enjoyed thoughtful messages from our Head of College, Paul Weinert, and our School Captains, Piper and Jacob, as well as a wonderful performance by the Harmonie String Quartet.
Later in the day, St John’s Campus students enjoyed the Mother’s Day Market Stall, assisted by parent volunteers who enabled them to purchase a special gift for loved ones and friends.
We thank all who attended and contributed to our Mother's Day events - a wonderful celebration of the love, care, wisdom, beauty and strength of the mothers, grandmothers and special friends in our community.
