We were honoured to host a special morning tea in our brand new OSHC space at St John's Campus, to celebrate Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services in South Australia.
Our Concordia College executive and leadership team, OSHC Educators, Outside School Hours Care Association (OSHCsa) Board members and wonderful student representatives all came together to recognise and celebrate our OSHC services.
We were delighted to welcome the Education Minister, Hon Blair Boyer MP, and the Assistant Minister, Hon Emily Bourke MP, to our beautiful, new Wirrkuta Trruku building. We had the pleasure of sharing with them about our own service and the overwhelming support we have in our Concordia community.
The Education Minister and Assistant Minister's presence and heartfelt support served as a powerful testament to the growing significance that our OSHC sector holds.
The Hon Blair Boyer’s address was both heartfelt and inspiring, acknowledging the pivotal role that OSHC services play in the lives of working families across the state. He emphasised the Government's commitment to investing in quality OSHC programs, ensuring that every child has access to a safe and enriching environment beyond the school bell. It was a pleasure to hear from our special guests and share with them in celebrating our own service.
Our student representatives included a wonderful group of Year 5 and 6 students that regularly attend OSHC. They played an integral role in sharing their own perspective of our OSHC, with an opportunity to show a special video that they created.
