Congratulations to Amelia 10TMOO, who recently competed in the inaugural Australian Womens Blind Cricket team to compete at the International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) World Games. The games were held in England in August, with Australia winning the opening game by seven wickets. Although they didn't win all of their games, the team was extremely successful and played in the Gold vs Silver medal match against India, which was played at the famous Edgbaston Stadium. Ultimately India were too strong for Australia on the day but Australia held their heads high with the SILVER medal win! As a member of the team, Milly was delighted to receive a handmade Baggy Green cap, a true honour. After showing enormous tenacity, resilience and skill whilst making their mark debuting on the International stage, Milly and team now knowing that this series was just the beginning of a bright future for Women’s Blind Cricket.
Congratulations to Piper 11SKLE, who was been selected to represent South Australia in the U18 Girls' Touch Football team at the National Youth Championships on the Sunshine Coast.
