Netball
Year 7/8 Knockout Netball - Round 2

Our Year 7/8 girls defeated Eastern Fleurieu School: 73-26. Our convincing win was due to an incredible whole-team effort, displaying some fantastic netball skills, playing in sync on court  so well as a team. We now look forward to competing in the finals round on Tuesday 29 August at Netball SA Stadium.

Volleyball
Volleyball Schools Cup

Open Boys - Div 1

Our team played exceptionally well on the first day, scoring two wins against tough teams. We struggled more on the second day, winning some sets against strong teams, but unfortunately we were not able to win. Our final day had us playing against Pulteney for seventh place, where we managed to win one set, but were eventually beaten in the second and third after a long and tough game. Overall, we displayed good teamwork and respect for each other and other teams despite not achieving the result we hoped for. The weekend showed us that there is a lot we can improve on, but as we build towards the nationals on the Gold Coast, we look forward to seeing just how hard we can push ourselves to achieve the best result possible.

Girls' Open Honours

Concordia's Senior girls' volleyball team competed in the the top division, Girls Open Honours, of the South Australian Volleyball Schools Cup. On finals day, we played off for third against Pembroke, one of our biggest rivals. It was a hectic three-day competition with all players feeling tired and sore, but everyone held their heads high and kept the positivity up throughout each game. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our time to win in the bronze medal match; however, we continued to play at a high level with lots of encouragement from each other to get us through all five sets of the game. We are grateful for having the opportunity to play in this competition against much harder teams than we are used to, and we are thankful that this has allowed all of us to gain more experience and be more prepared to come out strong this year at the nationals on the Gold Coast. Thank you to coaches Kendel Haslett, James Serotzki, and Tom Kroeger for getting us this far and continuing to help us improve in all aspects. Thanks also to Mrs Serotzki and Mr Bright who came and supported us along the way.
