As part of our units of inquiry, the Year 4 students at St John's Campus have had many exciting learning experiences. We began the term with a trip to Hallett Cove Conservation Park to look at how the landscape has changed over time and been affected by natural elements of erosion as the culmination of 'How the World Works.'
We then began our 'Sharing the Planet' unit with an exciting game that helped students to understand how we are all interconnected and rely on each other for survival. This involved role play as either a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore.
This has been followed up with consecutive visits to the Adelaide Zoo to study a variety of animals, their habitats, life cycles and threats that they may face.
Learning outside of the classroom has been a wonderful experience. We have been blessed with fine weather on each of our outings and created many long-lasting memories.
