The Year 2 students from St Peters Campus recently embarked on a captivating learning journey, delving into the world of technology and its impact on our lives. As part of their investigation, the students had the incredible opportunity to visit Channel 9 where they gained firsthand insights into the evolution of communication and the art of telling the stories of our local, national and global communities.
During their visit, the students immersed themselves in the broadcasting world, exploring how news is created and shared. They were fortunate to witness the behind-the-scenes process of producing the nightly news, experiencing the intricate workings of a television studio.
Adding to the excitement, our host for the day was none other than Brenton Ragless, a renowned figure in the field of journalism. Brenton shared his expertise, knowledge and passion for news reporting, leaving our students in awe of the dedication and effort that goes into bringing stories to life.
The students were thrilled to be a part of this opportunity, capturing their imaginations and sparking insightful discussions about the power of technology in shaping our understanding of the world. Witnessing how communication has evolved further deepened their appreciation for the tools and platforms we have at our disposal today.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Channel 9 and Brenton Ragless for warmly welcoming our students and providing them with an unforgettable learning experience. Such real-world encounters play a vital role in expanding their horizons and nurturing their curiosity.
