In addition to the touching Remembrance Day services held on campus, on Saturday 11 November some students had the chance to represent the College and honour those lives lost in World War I.
Will (11RBEN) and Macy (11KSTA), accompanied by our Head of College, Mr Weinert, laid a wreath at the Unley Soldiers Memorial Garden, while James (10TMOO) led the catafalque party at the same event.
Piper (12JLEY) and Eddie (1SC), accompanied by Senior School Leader Mr Wood and ELC Director Mrs Wood, laid a wreath at the service held by the Naval, Military and Air Force Club. Piper, Eddie and James also attended the annual Johanna Lunch at the Club. With a focus on outreach to young people interested in the ADF, the lunch provided a wonderful opportunity for ADF aspirants Piper and James to build connections with high-ranking officers. Piper also presented remarks about her inspiration for applying for the ADF which were very well received by those in attendance.
All students represented the College exceptionally well as we honoured the lives lost and changed by the Great War.
