The Year 10 camp, held on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, offered an enriching experience over three nights, strategically located at three different sites—Willow Creek, Port Elliot YHA, and Deep Creek. The itinerary was packed with a variety of activities, providing just the right balance of challenge for each student. From surfing to kayaking, abseiling, mountain biking, and bushwalking, the camp offered a diverse array of experiences, ensuring both enjoyment and personal growth.
The activities were carefully curated to not only challenge students but also to foster a sense of accomplishment and fun. Each activity aimed to instil a sense of achievement while ensuring that the level of challenge was appropriate for all participants. This approach allowed students to explore their limits, build resilience and cultivate a spirit of camaraderie among peers.
The camp was not just about physical challenges, it was also an opportunity to build lasting relationships. The shared experiences, excitement and, at times, the shared overcoming of obstacles, significantly contributed to the bonds formed between students. The choice activity on the final day was the perfect culmination of the camp—an opportunity for students to choose an activity that resonated with their interests, effectively rounding off a highly successful and thoroughly enjoyable camp.
