Student Achievements

Congratulations to Lincoln 10COHA on being the 2023 recipient of the Muriel Matters Award. The award is named in honour of Muriel Matters (1877-1969), an Australian-born suffragist, lecturer, journalist and educator. The award is given to a student who shows initiative and commitment to the democratic process, and who exhibits selflessness and personal challenge in taking action to make the world a better place. Lincoln is a member of the Unley Council Living Young Reference Group, is a Middle School Leader and is a member of the Youth Commissioner Patrol for Scouting South Australia. He was recently selected to be one of eight Youth Ambassadors to represent Scouts Australia. These Youth Ambassadors were selected from across the country for their exceptional talent, leadership experiences, community involvement, and commitment to Scouting values. Concordia congratulates Nina 5RG, who recently competed in the 2023 Australian Figure Skating Championships in Erina, NSW. Nina was the youngest member of the state team and placed 10th our of 28 competitors - a fantastic effort!

Congratulations to Xavier 3ER, who recently competed in the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad and a received a Bronze medal in Year 3 in the Australia region - one of only two students to receive an award in this division. Xavier has now been invited by the Olympiad organiser to go to Singapore Exhibition Centre for the advanced mathematics SEAMOX 2024 competition in 2024. We wish him all the very best for this competition.

We also congratulate Xavier 3ER and his brother Jayden 1MR on competing in the Summit PAMA Global Mathematics Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Association competition. Both boys finished as third runner up in their age group.
