During Week 7, the Year 6 students from both St Peters and St John’s campuses celebrated their learning journey through the presentation of their Exhibition.
The Exhibition is the culmination of the Primary Years Programme experience, engaging students in acquiring knowledge, developing skills, fostering attitudes and inspiring action.
Students inquired into an area of interest that they were personally connected to and passionate about.
They engaged in taking action as a result of their inquiries, including advocation through artwork, models and music; participation in beach clean ups and running sporting clinics; social entrepreneurship and the design and creation of movies, apps and websites.
Year 6 students’ parents and families were shown thought-provoking exhibits, highlighting the Exhibition journey and showcasing the actions the students undertook. Guided by mentors, guest presenters and experts, students effectively communicated their messages.
Our students demonstrated the attributes of the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile and worked towards developing skills such as time and resource management, collaboration and communication.
Many thanks to all involved: students, volunteers, parents, teachers and support staff.
