1. Where were you before this and what persuaded you to join Concordia College?
Previously I worked at Brighton Secondary School for 13 years. I came to Concordia College as a Digital Technologies and English teacher to be part of a community that really helps to build the whole person. In my short time here, I’ve marvelled at how CC helps our young citizens to be the best version of themselves across all the factors that make humans complex, intelligent and kind.
2. Three words to describe you.
Funny, serious, consistent.
3. What is your motivation or inspiration in your role?
I love seeing students have that ‘aha’ moment where it all clicks into place, whether it’s their code that suddenly springs into action, or the recognition of a film director’s true intent; it’s so good when that revelatory moment happens.
4. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Time is the ultimate resource, so I’d like to be able to slow and speed the passage of time. Proper time travel sounds too risky though.
5. Who would you invite to a dinner party of six guests and why? Alternatively, tell us something you might like to share that we could not possibly know?
When I was younger, I was a pro-gamer. I’m a National Worms champion, and have coached Counter-Strike clans, including one that went to South Korea to compete.
