The Unley Library has collaborated with St John’s Campus ELC to visit each term and include us in their four-year-old Kindergarten outreach program. The ELC has been focusing on Family, Friendships, Interests and Uniqueness this term and Jacinta from the Unley Library selected books that related to these areas. The children were engaged in the interactive session and a favourite story, ‘Where are the Cheeky Monsters?’ delighted the children with its surprise ending. Children participated in some action songs, cooperating and following the instructions. Literacy and cognitive skills such as listening, attention and comprehension were involved. We look forward to further visits from Jacinta.
