On Wednesday 29 May, eight Year 11 students participated in the ‘Ethics Olympiad’, a competitive yet collaborative tournament in which teams of Senior School students from schools around Australia and New Zealand compete with each other to develop and articulate standpoints on a range of ethical issues.
The event comprised a full-day incursion, with two teams from Concordia College competing. Students presented arguments, developed counter-arguments, answered questions from judges and engaged in critical discussions about ethics and how they shape the decisions we make and the world we create. Both teams from Concordia College scored in the top 50% of schools involved on the day and received honourable mentions from the judges.
