On Thursday 30 May, SACE Stage 2 Modern History students welcomed Ms Sarah Levy, the Coordinator for Overseas Education and Learning at the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies in Jerusalem. Ms Levy delivered an engaging and interactive presentation about the Holocaust and how historians address the subject of ‘perpetrators’. Ms Levy’s visit coincided with her visit to Australia to continue to promote awareness and study of the Holocaust through the Gandel Holocaust Studies Program for Australian Educators.
Concordia students relished the opportunity to enhance their learning about the Holocaust by hearing from an internationally recognised expert in this field of study. Ms Levy spoke very positively of the attentiveness and diligence of Concordia students during the presentation and commented on their sensitive and considerate approach to discussing the topic.
