Year 5/6 Knockout Soccer

Earlier this week, our Year 5/6 boys' soccer team participated in the first round of the School Spot SA Statewide Soccer Championships.

Congratulations to our team, who were undefeated on the day and now progress through to the next round that will be played early next term.

I would like to thank Craig Bruins for coaching and all the parents who supported the team throughout the day.

Open Girls' Knockout Basketball

On the Monday 17 June, the Open girls' basketball team faced Unley High School in the first round of the knockout competition. Hosted in Concordia’s very own Fortiter Gymnasium, the girls were down by 10 points at halftime. However, they pushed back in the third quarter, regaining the lead by one point. The final quarter was intense and physical; however, Concordia’s composure and teamwork managed to maintain a 12-point lead until the end. A huge thanks goes to the girls who came out to cheer the team on and score, as it was no easy task! The Open team will face Immanuel and Modbury High early next term.

Additionally, the Year 7/8 girls had a convincing win in their first knockout game. They defeated Pembroke 55-26, scoring themselves a ticket straight through to the finals. We wish both teams the best of luck in their next knockout games!
