The Year 1 students enjoyed sharing the Biblical message from James 3:8-10 about controlling the tongue at our Week 8 Chapel. Students saw the importance of controlling our tongue to have good friendships and not create 'friendship fires'. They had learnt about friendship fires and healthy friendships during a previous Friendology session. We became curious about what God said about friendships, so we searched the Bible for more advice and found that, just like the Friendology program, God instructs us to be kind and have respectful behaviour towards one another so we can be good friends and have good friendships. Students shared the 'friendometers' they had made at Chapel with all the other students at St Peters Campus. The Year 1 students hoped to inspire everyone to make their own friendometer and remind them that healthy friendships are God's will for us.
