This week, ‘The Australian Band and Orchestra Director’s Association’ Festival is being held in Adelaide.

We have had the following results already:

• Silver Award - Chamber Strings (Therese O’Brien) | Intermediate String Ensemble section
• Gold Award - String Ensemble (Martin Butler) | Advanced String Ensemble section
• Gold Award - Orchestra (Kellie Rich) | Open Orchestra section

Orchestra was also awarded the overall winners in the Orchestra section – a great achievement!

On Friday Big Band 1 and Big Band 2 will perform in their sections of the Big Band competition.

Update on Friday 16 August: In addition to winning a Gold Award on Thursday night in the Advanced Concert Band section, they were overall winners of the Bob Hower Memorial Award in their section - another outstanding achievement!
