On Friday 9 August, our Year 11 students had the opportunity to attend the Flinders University Open Day, an event designed to broaden their understanding of future academic and career pathways. The day was an invaluable experience for our students as they explored the diverse range of courses and facilities that Flinders University offers.
From interactive workshops to informative presentations, the students were fully immersed in the university environment. They had the chance to engage directly with faculty members, current students and industry professionals, gaining firsthand insights into the programs and careers that align with their interests and aspirations.
This excursion is a crucial part of our Futures program, designed to help students make informed decisions about their post-school pathways. This is particularly pertinent with subject selections and subject counselling for Year 12 happening at this time. We encourage our Year 11 students to reflect on their experiences from the Open Day and consider how these insights can shape their future goals, subject choices and career aspirations.
