On Monday 5 August both of our Primary School campuses competed in the first round of the Year 5/6 School Sport SA Statewide Basketball Championships at the State Basketball Centre, Wayville.

Our St John’s Campus had a boys' and girls' team competing in the Large School division of the competition, while St Peters Campus had a boys' team competing in the Small School sector.

Both boys' teams competed hard but unfortunately did not progress to the finals. Our St John’s Campus finished in third place and our St Peters Campus finished in sixth.

Our girls' team started the comp strongly with a solid win over Marryatville and continued their winning way through the minor rounds, progressing to the final against Highgate Primary. In a competitive battle, Concordia proved to be too strong, winning by six points and progressing to the State Finals day, which will be held in Term 4.
