What a wonderful day it was as the Reception students from St Peters and St John’s campuses came together for a belated celebration of International Mud Day at the St Peters Campus in Week 4! This special day was all about getting our hands dirty, exploring nature and letting creativity run wild in the great outdoors.
The children eagerly dove into the fun, playing with water and mud and engaging with the scrub and nature play space. From water course construction to excavation sites and animal washing stations, their creativity knew no bounds.
The joy didn’t stop there! The children splashed in puddles, painted themselves with mud, and turned pots, pans, kettles and utensils into exciting tools for their mud-filled adventures. It was a delight to see the children’s enthusiasm as they explored, collaborated and played, and made new friends!
International Mud Day was a fantastic opportunity for our Reception students to connect with nature, engage in hands-on learning, and enjoy some messy fun. It was a day full of imagination, teamwork, and the simple joy of getting a little muddy.
