On Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August, students in Years 7-12 gathered at our Blackwood campus for Concordia’s first-ever Youth Retreat! This inaugural retreat offered a unique opportunity for students to deepen their faith in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Looking at what it means to be ‘Salt and Light’ in the world, we enjoyed times of worship, bible study, small-group discussions and a workshop with Mustard, a program designed to support students with navigating their faith at school.
We were also blessed to welcome staff (former and current) from Concordia alongside members of local congregations, tertiary ministry leaders and members of Evangelical Students at the University of Adelaide. This was an incredible opportunity for students to connect with fellow Christians while also discovering opportunities to further explore their faith beyond our school environment.
The weekend was a powerful time of connection, encouragement and spiritual support between students and staff in our community. Thank you to all those who came along and made this such an incredible weekend!
