As we move into another vibrant season of events at Concordia in Terms 3 and 4, I can't help but reflect on the extraordinary community that we've built together. Our College isn’t just a place for learning—it's a hub of connection, where each event and gathering strengthens our shared love for all things Concordia.
Whether it’s the laughter at our Mother’s and Father’s Day Breakfasts, the spirited cheers at Sports Days or the quieter moments of reflection at our Chapel services, every interaction brings us closer and reinforces the bonds that make our community so special. These shared experiences remind us that we are part of something larger—a community that values connection, celebration and togetherness.
A key part of what makes Concordia so vibrant is our diversity. Each year, we have the privilege of welcoming a number of international students who bring with them unique perspectives and experiences. Their presence enriches our community, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world beyond our College. It’s this diversity that strengthens our bonds and prepares our students to thrive in a global society.
As we prepare for our inaugural CommuniTea event, I have no doubt it will soon become a cherished tradition adding another layer to our rich tapestry of Concordia spirit. This event exemplifies our cross-campus collaboration, bringing together students from all year levels and all three campuses with their families, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of our College is how philanthropy plays a pivotal role in shaping the future for our students. Every donation, large or small, has a lasting impact, ensuring that Concordia continues to be a beacon of opportunity and growth for generations to come. It’s a reminder that our not-for-profit school thrives because of the collective generosity and care of families like yours.
Now, speaking of togetherness, come along to CommuniTea tomorrow (Friday 13 September) on the College Oval – 3.30pm-7.00pm. Expect amusements for all ages, live music to get your toes tapping, a stocked bar for those inclined, and enough food trucks to keep everyone happy (and full)! It’s an event designed for all ages—from our energetic three-year-olds to our cherished seniors who know the true value of community.
See you there!
