Our St Peters Campus students continue to impress with their expressive work in Dance and Drama. The Junior Primary classes have been exploring the use of mime with grand gestures and facial expressions to communicate a story. The Year 3 and 4 students recently devised small group dances that convey the shifting moods in music, sharing their creations with a wonderfully attentive Year 1 audience. Year 5 and 6 students have been exploring the exciting realm of improvisation, showcasing their creativity and spontaneity through a range of theatre games and small-group storytelling improvisations. Learning in the performing arts builds confidence, strengthens students’ ability to work collaboratively with their peers, and provides healthy avenues for self-expression. It is a privilege to guide and encourage our students on this journey.
