As the academic year draws to a close, students at Concordia Campus are focusing on finishing well.
I particular, our Year 12 students are navigating the challenges of their final exams and looking forward to a series of celebrations marking the culmination of their secondary school journey.
For many students, exam season can be a time of stress and uncertainty, but at Concordia we’ve worked hard to foster a positive environment, where students feel calm and confident in their preparation. Teachers have provided students with ongoing support and feedback throughout the year in preparation for this period. Students have also been reminded that exams are not just a test of knowledge, but an opportunity to demonstrate perseverance, critical thinking and resilience – all important life skills for the future.
As our students approach the end of their secondary schooling, we encourage them to finish well in their final days on campus, reminding them that education in a Lutheran school is about nurturing them as whole people. This means that their success is not just defined by their academic results, but also by their contributions to the community and the world at large. This year’s graduating cohort have embodied that, demonstrating kindness, service, faith and integrity, and their legacy is a wonderful example to our younger students.
One of the highlights of these final days for the Class of 2024 is the Valedictory Service, held in the Chapel. Family, friends and staff gather to celebrate the Year 12s and their achievements in a spirit of joy and thanksgiving as graduates are recognised for their unique contributions to the College community. The final Year 12 Chapel and Year 12 Assembly are other key events for the cohort.
We are incredibly proud of this year’s graduating class. They have shown resilience, commitment and compassion, and we know that these qualities will serve them well in the future. As they step into the next phase of their lives—whether it be further education, work or other adventures—we trust that they will continue to grow in faith and use their gifts and talents for the good of others.
Congratulations to all our graduating Class of 2024 on finishing well. You leave behind a legacy of excellence, and we pray that God’s blessings will follow you in all your future endeavours.
