Hi everyone, and a big welcome to Term 4!
We’re thrilled to be back after a fun-filled and exciting Vacation Care. The children had a blast with some fantastic excursions and new experiences across Adelaide.
A visit from Nature Play SA was certainly a highlight on a beautiful Spring day! Children had the opportunity to engage in watercolour painting, tent building, potion making, loose parts play and clay craft. Everyone dove into the activities—hands quickly becoming messy from clay, the aroma of special flower potions filling the air and extravagant tents built across the tennis courts.
Just as football season transitions into cricket season, it was the perfect time to visit Adelaide Oval, where the older children enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of all the cricket and AFL facilities. It was an adventure that both the children and educators loved. A crowd favourite was certainly our visit to the Marion Aquatic Centre, where we made a big splash across the different types of pools and tackling the giant inflatable obstacle Wibit course.
For our in-days at OSHC, recharging and relaxing, we also enjoyed some fantastic incursions. Junior Tradies came along with their ride-on diggers and forklifts, and the children had a hands-on experience building and playing with the equipment. On our ‘OSHC Oscars’ day, the children had a thrilling time in a real Hummer, blasting music and cruising around town dressed to impress with their finest crowns and Oscar-worthy outfits.
Thank you all for another fantastic Vacation Care. We are looking forward to all of the wonderful moments this final term will bring!
