St John’s Campus Year 3 Excursion to Cleland

24 Oct 2024

Our Year 3 students enjoyed a sunny, scientific day exploring the systems used by scientists to identify and classify Australian animals as part of our ‘How We Organise Ourselves’ Unit of Inquiry.

Students particularly enjoyed exploring Cleland and all its wildlife, especially sighting Tasmanian devils and our very own South Aussie hairy-nosed wombat, feeding Tammar wallabies and kangaroos, getting close up with reptiles and a koala, as well as meeting a bandicoot and learning about the structure of a range of animals’ features.
