ELC Fire Engine Visit

On Friday 18 October the ELC children had a visit from firefighters from the Glen Osmond Fire Station. Our firefighting friend, Ben, talked to the children about how to be safe around fire. The children learnt that they need to calmly follow adult instructions, to get down low in a fire and go, go, go! Ben asked the children, ‘What are good fires?’ Henry responded, ‘Fire is good for cooking’. Stephen, another of our firefighters, put on his uniform and explained how it protects him from heat and smoke. All the children then had the opportunity to see the truck and hold the fire hose. What fun!
