St Peters Campus Year 2 Update

21 Nov 2024

This term, our Year 2 students have been engaged in exciting and creative learning!

In Mathematics, we’ve explored fractions, time and shapes through hands-on investigations, fostering a deeper understanding of these concepts. In our unit of inquiry, we’ve been investigating how technologies have changed our lives, sparking curiosity and lively discussions.

During Readers’ and Writers’ Workshops, students have been exploring persuasive writing, learning how to express their opinions clearly and confidently. We’ve also delved into poetic devices, experimenting with imagery, rhyme and rhythm to craft creative pieces.

A highlight of the term was our recent AFL Max camp, where students had a fantastic time building teamwork, resilience and physical skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Additionally, we had the privilege of sharing our learning with families during Student-Led Conferences. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on their progress and proudly showcase their work.

It’s been a term full of discovery, and we’re so proud of the students’ growth and enthusiasm!
